What Is Keto and How Does It Work?

The Ketogenic Diet is a high fat, moderate protein, and very low carbohydrate diet.

By restricting carbs, the Keto Diet re-programs your metabolism to burn your fat stores for fuel rather than using glycogen stored in your muscles (that’s how it sheds fat so fast!).

The low-carb intake helps prevent your insulin and blood sugar levels from spiking.

This then allows your fat cells to begin releasing fatty acids, which your liver will then break down to produce “ketones”.

Ketosis is then attained when your body breaks down ketones for energy instead of glucose from carbs.

So basically: The Keto Diet literally burns fat instead of glucose so you shed fat faster and easier than any diet or exercise program you’ve ever tried.
